Guru Nanak Sikh Gurudwara Cornwall
A calm, welcoming digital home for Cornwall's Sikh sangat and every visitor who wishes to learn, pray, share langar, or serve. The site brings daily timings, first-visit guidance, classes, events, live darbar, Hukamnama, and daan together without losing the quiet dignity of the Gurdwara.

The Responsibility
A Gurdwara website has a different responsibility from a commercial website. It must help the sangat find accurate worship times and programmes, welcome people visiting for the first time, make community services easier to reach, and represent Sikh values with care. The experience needed to be useful without feeling busy, promotional, or impersonal.
We shaped the site as a digital front door. Deep indigo, warm cream, saffron, and gold establish a quiet visual rhythm; English and Gurmukhi sit together throughout; and every major need has a clear path — from planning a first visit to finding the daily Hukamnama, registering for classes, joining live darbar, or offering seva and daan.

A useful companion before, during, and after a visit
The experience is designed for quick answers on a phone: today's timings, directions, visitor etiquette, class registration, live darbar, and contact information remain close at hand. On larger screens, the same content opens into a calm editorial layout grounded in the Gurdwara's indigo, cream, and gold identity.

Built to welcome, inform, and serve
Every design and content decision supports the same purpose: help people approach the Gurdwara with confidence, find what they need without friction, and stay connected to the sangat. The technology stays in the background so the community remains at the centre.
